TEST YOUR HEALTH

Today I suggest to test your health with simple methods which you can perform at home!

TEST FOR ADEQUATE LEVEL OF GASTRIC ACID
Drink 50-100 ml of raw beet juice shortly before meals. Beets contain betacyanins, and when the pH of the stomach acid is adequate, the compounds are destroyed. If there is not enough acid, this does not happen, urine and feces turn red.

If the level of gastric acid is insufficient, enter betaine-pepsin preparations (pharmacy version - Acidin-pepsin) with food, or thoroughly water the protein products with lemon juice. After a while, your acid levels will begin to recover - mild heartburn will appear, and as soon as this happens, you can stop taking the drug.

BODY DEHYDRATION TEST
A critical lack of moisture, dehydration, can be seen by pinching the skin on the upper side of the hand: in a normal state, the skin immediately returns to its original position, with dehydration of the body, the fold does not smooth out for a few more seconds.

IODINE DEFICIENCY TEST
Iodine deficiency is one of the most dangerous conditions for the body. To determine the supply of iodine to the body, a 5% iodine solution or 5% Lugol solution is required.

Draw a 3 x 3 cm square with a solution (be sure to paint over it inside!) On the wrist from the inside or on the stomach, inside of the thigh or inside of the forearm, let it dry. If in less than 24 hours, the square disappears, you have an iodine deficiency (with a deficiency, iodine is absorbed into the skin rather quickly).

METABOLIC DISORDERS TEST
Measure your waist circumference: it should not exceed 80 cm for women (optimally no more than 75 cm) and 90 cm for men (optimally no more than 85 cm). An excess of the indicators most likely indicates the presence of insulin resistance / metabolic disorders, especially if the fat fold above the navel is more fatty under the navel. Optimally, if you pinch a fat fold, it should not be more than 3 cm, and men should not have it at all - this is a marker that testosterone levels are low.

STROKE RISK TEST
Try to reach your left shoulder with your left ear, and your right shoulder with your right. The neck should rotate 90 degrees to the right and 90 degrees to the left without any pain, otherwise you are at risk for a stroke. Such difficulties indicate the occurrence of compression of the vertebral arteries, which leads to a violation of blood microcirculation in the brain. This condition can cause ischemic stroke.

Our appearance is a reflection of our well-being and it's not just about lack of sleep and fatigue, which are reflected on the face. Some conditions can leave the mark on the body, let's look at some of them.

❗️1. Dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis
They can be as a result of fungal infection. Often indicate low blood levels of zinc, vitamins A and D, niacin (vitamin B3), riboflavin (vitamin B2), pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and biotin.

❗️2. Follicular keratosis
is a condition in which goose bumps appear on the cheeks, arms, thighs, or buttocks. It is observed in people with malnutrition, due to a deficiency of vitamins A and C, E.

❗️3. Dark spots
-Often, pigmentation indicates iron and copper deficiencies. Age spots can be a manifestation of a deficiency of DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), a hormone from which steroid hormones are formed, including sex hormones - estrogens, androgens, progesterone. You may notice increased dryness of the skin, thinning of the skin, a decrease of ts natural shine. This also applies to changes in the quality of the hair. "Senile" age spots appear on the skin. A characteristic symptom of DHEA deficiency is a sharp thinning of hair in the armpits and pubis.
-Darkening of the skin in the armpits and groin, acanthosis nigricans, multiple papillomas and keratomas are symptoms of insulin resistance.

❗️4. Mouth ulcers
Ulcers in the mouth are often the result of iron deficiency or vitamin B deficiency( thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), and pyridoxine (vitamin B6))
Angular cheilitis, a condition in which the corners of the mouth crack and bleed, can be caused by excess salivation or dehydration.

Other types of deficiencies:

❗️Loss of smell and taste is a direct sign of zinc deficiency.

❗️ Dental imprints on the tongue - hypothyroidism, a deficiency of vitamin B12, which also leads to inflammation of the tongue. The tongue of a healthy person is light pink, moderately smooth, without plaque, without teeth prints.

❗️Red palms ("hepatic palms") indicate toxic liver damage, possibly hepatitis or hepatosis.

❗️Hair loss on the outer third of the eyebrow is a sign of hypothyroidism.

❗️Sensitivity to cold can be a manifestation of anemia, hypothyroidism, iodine deficiency.

❗️Yellow skin - dietary excess of carotenoids, hypothyroidism, gallbladder disease.

❗️Cracking and peeling of the skin on the lips - riboflavin deficiency.

❗️Dark circles under the eyes are a consequence of anemia, food intolerances. Dry eyes in the morning - iodine deficiency, vitamin A deficiency. Rough, dry skin is also a common sign of vitamin A deficiency.

❗️Frequent loose stools may be due to a niacin deficiency.

❗️Rosacea, rosacea - gastric acid deficiency, malabsorption.

❗️Photosensitivity - vitamin D deficiency, niacin deficiency.
